Honor the King.

All over America the majority of people take time at this time of the year, to celebrate what they call the Birth of Christ. While it is true Jesus was born to become the Savior of the World, and the King of Kings, there is no place in the Bible that Jesus ever told us or commanded us to honor His birth. However His word tells us to honor His death, I Corinthians 11:23-29. there are many who celebrate the holiday known as Christmas, and know not what they celebrate. Jesus did not come as a baby to give us a holiday to eat, drink and be merry, but to become the sacrifice for sin, to save this world from our unrighteousness. His very words in St Matthew 24: 36-39, reminds us of the results of eating and drinking, such as takes place at Christmas. How do we find any honor of the King in Christmas trees, Santa Claus and in parties? About the only part of Christmas that takes place correctly is in giving of gifts, and that is not done correctly. The Bible reminds us to give to God one tenth and to present our bodies a living sacrifice. Romans 12:1. So this year as you celebrate Christmas think of who you are honoring. Is it King Jesus or is it self?

Yes it is okay to remember the Birth of Christ, but not to follow all the traditions of the world. Let us remember why He came to this earth, and may we live our lives as an example of His Love for this world. I encourage each reader to do a study on your computer on the origin of Christmas. You may be surprised.

Only in America

We still live in America the land of the free, and yes one of the greatest nations of the world. However our freedoms are quickly being taken away from us . we seem to sit back and ignore the fact that every day someone stands up to stop our freedoms, that we have held since the beginning of our nation.

Yes this week another business in Florida has taken the stand to dismiss an employee, for wearing a lapel pin of our Nations flag. Our flag stands for freedom, however we are not free to display our own flag in the work place.

I ask you where is the freedom in that? remember this is the second employee dismissed for the flag pin. Apparently these employers agree with our president, that our flag is not correct!

I still stand for the red, white and blue How about you?

THE FLAG

We the people of America, the land of the free and the home of the brave, have been blessed with God's Blessings in the past. We have been blessed to worship God our creator and enjoy all the Freedoms of this nation.

As this nation was beginning, we were given a flag as a symbol of our Freedom, and most of us are happy to fly it over our homes and businesses. We are proud to salute it at all types of events, as a reminder of our Freedoms.

But did you know that the President and First lady have not, do not, and will not salute our American Flag, calling it a symbol of oppression. They have even attended flag burning ceremonies. The President even refers to our National Anthem, as a war like message, and does not stand at attention when it is sung in his presence. (According to Meet the Press).

The American Flag is a symbol of the Freedoms God has given to us, and should be displayed on Sunday September the 11th, as we remember all who lost their lives on that day. when we look at our Flag, may it remind us we are still free.

Christian Freedoms

Every day we as Christians live in America, the land of the free, we are losing more and more of our freedoms. Case in point. The Mayor of New York city has passed a ruling that for the 911 commemoration this year, there will be no clergy or firemen in attendance. These were the first two groups on the scene, on that day of tragedy.

How sad it is to know in a Christian nation that our ministry cannot stand together, at that site on September 11th to offer prayers for the families of those who lost their lives that day.

How long will America continue to be a Christian Nation???

America's Warnings.

America The Beautiful, for many years has been a Nation founded on God's Holy Word and the ways of Righteousness. However in the last few years it has turned and taken a different direction. That direction is leading us away from God's plans for His people. We are quickly being directed to the ways of immoral and unrighteousness living. The ways that displease our Holy and Righteous God in Heaven.

When will our leaders of this United States begin to see that God has been sending us warnings of which we seem to ignore? The recent tragedies of the Earthquake and the Hurricane should remind us that God is calling us to Repentance. Also we are experiencing a storm in the Gulf of Mexico, as we write this article.

Both the Hurricane and the earthquake touched our Nations Capital, Hello all of our leaders, especially our President, who also felt the Earthquake while he was on vacation.

God is speaking to America by way of the many troubles that have come and are coming.

Will America hear God's Call to Repentance? St. Matthew 24:4-8

AMERICA'S HOPE

As this great nation began, is did so with one motto. IN GOD WE TRUST. That is the founders and leaders knew the necessity of trusting in the God who created all things. Who better to place their trust in than the creator? Over the years some have seemed to lose hope in the possibility of the survival of this great nation.

However in light of today's leadership and all the troubles we face we must remember in whom we put our trust. Our hope cannot be in our President or any part of our government, but rather in Jesus Christ alone. As Christians we must hope and believe that our awesome God will see us through every problem.

We then can continue to follow the instructions of Titus 2:13, "Looking for the blessed hope and the glorious appearing of the great God, and our Savior Jesus Christ. Have you placed your hope in Jesus Christ?"

America's hope has been and must always be in Jesus Christ our soon coming King.

Consider your ways

Why is America in such financial trouble? It must be because we have forgotten God's ways, and followed man's ways. There is no one in Washington that knows how to tell the truth. How can we have a balanced budget, when no one can explain where our money is going? We do not have a money problem we have a spending problem. Part of the problem is we have failed to follow God's word. Our government has thrown God's word out of our schools and government buildings, and then we ask, why does God not bless us?

America has fallen into the same place the people were in, in Haggai's day as they forgot about God's house. They were only concerned about their own wealth. (Haggai 1: 5-9) gives us the reason we are in such a condition today. When will we consider our ways and build God's house? When will America fall on their knees in Repentance?

America's Freedoms.

Our Freedoms in America are slowly being taken away. The Righteousness of God is being over run by wickedness and unrighteousness. Surely we as Christians can see what is happening. Are we prepared to stand up and be noticed in these last days of time, before the Lord returns.

It seems that many Christians and churches have become complacent and are willing to give up without a fight, so to speak. It appears we are willing to allow unrighteous and evil men and women of this day to dictate, what we can do or believe as Christians, Could this be what Jude was meaning as he wrote in Jude 3 "That we should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints?" It most assuredly time to pray and seek God.

Christian Actions

I am greatly concerned that the ways of Righteousness and of our Faith is fast being eroded away by the sin and wickedness that is in the world today. We as a Nation cannot afford to forsake the ways of God's Righteousness as we see the trend of America today. To do so means we will find ourselves as Israel of old when they forsook the ways of God and found themselves defeated. If we as a Nation are to continue to be successful and a strong Nation, we will need to hold to God's unchanging hand, and walk in His Righteousness.

There can be no doubt that the United States of America is one of the greatest Nations of the world. It has been so because it has been built on Godly Principles, the which are fading away very quickly. Christianity has been the faith that caused this nation to be so successful and to stand the test of time.

Our founding fathers worked very diligently to build America, and they did so by seeking God's direction and leadership. They also stood on the principles of Christianity. The strength of our nation has not been, nor is it in our leaders, but in the fact that our leaders have acknowledged God as our source of strength and stood for the Bible.

Will we as a nation continue to seek God's direction or will we forsake His ways and fall to His Judgments?
